Maria Schmitz

Youth Ministry Assistant

My name is Maria Schmitz, and I am excited to begin my new role as the Youth Ministry Assistant. I grew up in Neenah, attending St. Mary Catholic Schools, before heading off to Franciscan University of Steubenville where I majored in biology and heology. I have spent the past twelve years teaching high school and middle school. Three of those years I spent as a missionary teacher in Belize. I enjoy being back in Wisconsin where my family is, but I do miss the tropics every year when winter rolls around! I love spending time biking, walking, cooking, reading, and traveling near and far. Speaking of traveling close by, Door County is one of my favorite places to be from spring through fall.
