St. Pius X Foundation Mission
The St. Pius X Charitable Foundation, Inc. is a Wisconsin nonstock, nonprofit organization created to serve St. Pius X Parish and the Green Bay Diocese.
The primary interest of the Foundation is in the promotion of religious vocations through scholarships as well as other special charitable needs. The Foundation was purposely given a broad scope of operations so as to best serve the need of the parish.
The funds of the Foundation are deposited with The Green Bay Diocesan Investment Funds. Funds Are expended by the discretion of the Board of Directors.
Foundation Impact
More than $75,000 has been dispersed for parish needs since 1990. Funds have provided religious education scholarships, workshop and staff development opportunities for a number of staff and parish committee members, the youth trip to Denver to see the Holy Father, and support for seminarians in residency and deacon candidates in our parish and the Hispanic Religious Program in our community. Purchases have included a grand piano for the church, new dishes and silverware for the kitchen, new stacking chairs and folding tables, refurbished chairs in our chapel and on the altar, and most recently a defibrillator.
The Foundation has sponsored several educational programs over the years. Most recently, it sponsored a seminar explaining the tax and financial benefits that can be realized through gift annuities, charitable trusts and gifting low basis assets. The success of the St. Pius X Charitable Foundation, Inc. is and can only be possible through the gifts and bequests of the many friends in the parish community. Anyone wishing to contribute can do so directly to the Foundation or by making the Foundation the beneficiary of insurance and/or securities. The pastor can be contacted in this regard. If anonymity is desired, this can be guaranteed, as has been the case with our previous grants.
Valuable tax benefits can be gained by utilizing deductions of this nature. Memorials in honor of deceased parish members are encouraged. All monies received will be placed in the Diocesan Investment Fund using prudent investment policies. All assets of the Foundation are secure and remain under control of the Directors of the Foundation. There is no minimum contribution - only maximum results.
