On every First Sunday of the month our parish invites anyone to come and pray Solemn Vespers at 5:30 PM. Solemn Vespers includes an opening hymn, praying three Psalms, a short reading, a chanted Magnificat (with altar incensation), intercessions, and the Lord's Prayer. It's a very beautiful way to close out the Lord's Day! At 4:00 PM we will have youth gatherings together for brief catechesis on the liturgy, play some games (gaga/dodge/kickball, CTF, board games if raining etc), and then anyone interested can stay for Sunday Solemn Vespers. We also invite anyone who wants to help serve at Solemn Vespers to do so. This is a great opportunity for kids who have been nervous about altar serving to dip their toes in the water! We hope it is a good time for friendships, fun, learning, and prayer together.
Please join us this Friday night, June 30 at 9:00 PM for a Candlelight Mass to celebrate the Feast Day of the First Martyrs of the Holy Roman Church. This will be a Solemn Novos Ordo Mass in Latin. The Mass will be offered for all Christians who are currently suffering violent persecutions. If your child or teen would like to altar serve, please contact Father Patrick!
To continue to serve our Community, we are in need of some specific items in for our food pantry: · Boxed Mashed potatoes 9oz or 13oz size. · Boxed White Rice - 14 oz size · Canned Gravy (any flavor) 10oz cans.. Drop your donations off at church anytime during the week or on the weekend in the box located in the West Narthex.
There will be changes in Mass times from 6/19 - 6/22 due to Father Jim and Father Patrick joining all of the Diocesan Priests on their yearly retreat. We will have daily Mass at 8:00 AM on Monday. Daily Mass on Tuesday at 5:30 PM, Wednesday at 8:00 AM and Thursday at 8:00 AM will NOT take place.
Do you feel called to join our St. Pius X Healing Ministry Team? The training will take place Friday June 23, 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Saturday June 24, 9 AM to 3:30pm. Snacks and lunch are provided.
We are looking for a spirit-filled team member who has a desire to build up the ministry of the domestic church by accompanying and partnering with parents as they strive to discover, follow, and worship Jesus and share Jesus with their children.
